For newbies and math geeks alike here is an oldie but goodie link to some very interesting stats about the number of domains registered years after year. Quite amazing to see where we are today, what opportunities were missed just a few years ago and more.

Those stats are wrong…..at least the stats from the mid 90′s.
In mid 1995 (Aug) there was about 18,000 total domains registered. I know because I started then and remember looking at the opportunity and distinctly remember that figure as my starting point in domaining.

curious – you know any better links to stats?
I started in 1997 and also would say stats are off a bit but overall the growth pattern was interesting.
