Top 25 SEO Blogs – SEO Bookmarks You Need
By Alan on Jul 22, 2010 in Domain Development
Let’s do another article while I am stuck waiting to speak with a client overseas. I have always insisted that any domainer serious about development quit reading domaining blogs and spend more time reading SEO blogs so why not give you some homework.
My SEO knowledge is derived from 10 years of experience yet I would be a fool to think I know it all. Many Many people know much more than I do so in the wake of my own advice I realized that chanting this mantra is not doing any good without providing a list of some resources (where I promise you no longer have to listen to people trying to sell you a watch after a list of domains
So with due credit to DailyBlogTips.com for making this list easily accessible (and reminding me about a few forgotten ones) below is a list of 25 valuable resources about SEO development. There are many theories by people who dream and many people that do. Your job is to find common elements by people who have proven projects and that’s where the real SEO knowledge will come.
If you want to dream listen to dreamers – if you want to produce listen to producers.
Enjoy … I added ViperChill.com myself. It’s a new one for me but lots of good tips from the few emails I’ve read.

Disclaimer – if you find SEO sites boring, would prefer to read about domain sales OTHER people are making or refresh domaining.com every 10 minutes then either (a) enter rehab (b) double check if you even like the internet and (c) realize you’re not a developer

I nearly fell of my chair laughing!
Good set of SEO links, its just to sad that most Domain investors simply park and flip there names and get excited about a 100 K sale. Forgeting they could be making 100 K or more each year with the same lowsy domainname. The Gold is out there, but all they are doing is settling for peanuts.

Duane,
Sadly most domainers will never scroll down this far to even read that comment

You are on a roll, Alan. Like you, I got into SEO early (1995) and realized immediately how much time and money I saved by people calling me for business (due to high ranks), rather than me cold-calling all day.
The price of doing business on the Internet is SEO, SEM, SMM or PPC. Pick one or more, but if you are going to spend time developing it, you’ll need to effectively promote it too.
There is definitely a difference between Domainers and Developers, and it is becoming more obvious every day. If you havent found a way to monetize your portfolio through development, your days are numbered. The more domains you own, the harder it will be. You’ll either need to build your own or find a mass development platform like Epik.com or a few others and start building links to your properties. Most developers will tell you to own fewer, higher quality properties as it’s easier to manage – and SEO.
