2008 is almost gone and the industry has brought another year of challenges. It’s officially time to pat ourselves on the back for simply surviving while global economies are in disarray. Before the holidays come and people disappear to spend unthinkable time away from the computer (without incurring too much withdrawal I hope) we at Newfound Names want to say thank you for the laughs, the insight, the content and just a good time all around.

Sure, it’s nice that some of you read our blog but its secondary to the information we love to read from other domainers. I could list all of the blogs we love and those which we think should be banned but its the Holidays and today we love them all.

A very special thanks to Julia Mackenzie for always providing great writing on great topics and to Francois for improving domaining.com one feature at a time while always asking the community for feedback.

To DNCartoons for making us laugh, to Elliot for sharing his thoughts on topics many domainers like to keep secret, to Michael Berkens for relentlessly keeping on top of legal topics which are important to every domain owner, to Sahar for providing wise, thought-provoking articles (except for the time he disappeared), to Michael Gilmour for providing great stats on the industry one after another, to Dominik Mueller for a wealth of intelligent content, to Owen for making us think – WTF is this guy talking about … again to DotWeekly’s outing of someone doing something wrong once a week to …. Well, everyone and we know we are missing many blogs worthy of thanks but just know we read almost all of the content published and regardless of whether or not you are mentioned above we still thank you for all the hard work providing content to domainers day after day. In fact, send us a note and we will add you to a directory of domainer blogs we are putting together.

The domain industry is a community and we all have our niches and for that we want to thank each and every one of you. It’s an honor to semi-know you, a pain to work with some of you, a challenge to track some of you down but all around a great pleasure to be part of a community that is forever trying to move forward and build something great.

Peace to all – Happy Christmas, Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Kwanza, Happy Hanukkah .. whatever your choice (even the fools of that alien cult Germany tried to ban) … enjoy the holidays.

Now is time for family .. Domains will still be here when you get back.

From all of us to all of you – have a great holiday !!!

——————————-

P.S. This is for the bloggers – all service providers have our love but you also have our money so happy holidays but we are still not giving free promotion – Love ya!
