About Us

It’s a Small World…

The theory - six degrees of seperation – holds very true in the domain industry.  Although you may not know us it certainly doesn’t mean we are far removed.

If you know any of the guys at Domain Capital, familiar with the team at Promediary or even a few people at Oversee, MonikerSmartName, Domain Sponsor or Cybertonic then we probably know the same people.

Fact is all the members of Newfound Names LLC have been in this business since 1999 – hand regged most of our domains (still have invoices as souvenirs), produce our own unique content and usually never keep a developed site for more than three (3) years.

We do keep a low profile and very rarely attend any of the industry conferences but mainly it’s not from a lack of interest. Simply a lack of time. All our members are actively involved in many other ventures outside of the domain industry and we feel our goals are best served continuing on the same path which have helped us get this far.

In short, Newfound Names LLC is a media company primarily focused on the development and purchase of generic domain names. Our focus is on the acquisition of domain names which represent categories, popular common words and/or highly brandable phrases within the top three (3) domain extensions: .com, .net, and .org.

iceberg_blocksOver the years we have developed (and sold) quite a few websites for significant amounts.  90% of a domains value will lie in its development (hence the icerberg picture – 90% under water).

This industry is still young and a few thousand dollars will never really grasp the true value of a good domain.  Most of our portfolio is slated for development however we do sell some domains from time-to-time depending on our mood as once a portfolio gets large enough it does become impossible to develop all of them – so naturally, some go and some stay.

We are always open to new partnerships so if you have an idea, want to work together or have an interest in one of our names then contact us – simply email domainrock AT gmail.com
